The Enterprise Strategy and Governance Division is seeking experienced leaders to provide high-level strategic and operational support on a wide range of complex business or corporate issues affecting Services Australia. The purpose of the Division is to support the CEO, Deputy CEO Strategy and Performance and the Minister in setting and driving the strategic direction of the agency, with a focus on providing early visibility and advice on emerging whole-of-department or whole-of-government matters. Directors across the Division support the delivery of high quality and timely strategic products, the development of the agency's enterprise-wide planning and reporting functions and are responsible for ensuring high functioning governance structures enabling transparent and accountable decision making. The Division is responsible for providing administrative and logistical support to the Minister’s Office through resourcing and agency-wide coordination of responses to Ministerial requests. You will be required to understand this role and operate with a high degree of discretion. You will also be required to respond to new and emerging tasks requested by internal and external stakeholders often in a time constrained environment. Successful candidates will be self-motivated strategic thinkers with well-developed leadership qualities, possess advanced written and oral communication skills and have an ability to manage close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. In performing a leadership role, you will be required to identify and drive innovation, manage and lead change and have an active role in contributing to and implementing the agency's strategic direction. Directors are responsible for optimising the effectiveness of their work section to provide high quality coordination functions across the agency. The key duties of the position include: Prepare a range of written material including business cases, senate estimate briefs, Ministerial and agency briefs, and corporate documentation. Conduct research and analysis activities to support development of strategic advice, including anticipating emerging strategic issues, focusing on their impact on the agency, and advise on potential resolutions. Provide specialist advice on Parliamentary and Cabinet related material, including policy proposals and process, understanding potential impacts on the agency and government more broadly. Manage effective and productive working relationships with internal managers and employees at all levels, external Australian Public Service (APS) agencies and other key stakeholders. Represent the agency at meetings with stakeholders, including other departments and agencies across the Commonwealth. Lead and manage staff, and develop staff capability through coaching, mentoring and succession planning. Plan, develop, manage, and monitor budgets and finances, including evaluating resource performance and requirements within agreed budgetary parameters. Develop, interpret, and evaluate agency strategies and plans. EligibilityTo be eligible for employment with Services Australia, applicants must be an Australian citizen. The Job The Director, Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for supporting the delivery of DAFF ICT Projects by establishing, implementing and maintaining standardised project practices, including relevant processes, policies and tools. The firm is part of one of Australia's largest accounting networks allowing unparalleled accessibilityto support, resourced and training. The firm has service offerings in business advisory, tax, audit and financial planning with a total 45 staff across its four offices however all of the offices operate as one business and support each other. The Shepparton office was purchased from a sole practitioner within the past year and the current Director plans to phase out over the next six months. The purpose of this role is to immediately run the entire office and become a Director within the next 6-12 months (with equity). The office currently has six staff and over $1m in fees with potential to grow by at least 10% every year.
