Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant (SMA), the Management Accountant is responsible for the provision of professional project accounting advice and services to senior project leaders across client business units, to ensure effective and compliant cost management of project activity. The role delivers sound financial analysis, supporting commentary and advice to senior project leaders to inform financial planning, budgeting, forecasting for operational and/or grant funded projects. Key responsibilities will include: Provide financial advice to project leaders to guide decision making around the development of effective strategies for compliant cost management and effective utilisation of grant funding. Support the SMA with the preparation of business cases that guide the selection, validation and prioritisation of client business strategies and plans. Manage the application of financial processes, governance frameworks, policy controls and risk management frameworks to ensure ongoing compliance with university and external regulatory requirements. Provide operational leadership to create a seamless interface between the advisory and transaction services streams, providing direction on complex financial policy and compliance matters to help improve the capability and performance of the team. Build and maintain strong working relationships acting as a trusted expert financial advisor, managing the escalation of key client issues or needs that require expertise, input and/or approval. Provide fiscal leadership to senior project leaders through the implementation of strategies, policies and plans that drive accountability, transparency, and financial performance on projects. This is a full-time, continuing position. At HEW level 7, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $96,649 - $105,244, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $113,080 - $123,136 annually. As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases - at least once a year. You will work with a team of scientists conducting paddock and sub-catchment scale monitoring trials in close partnership with the paddock and catchment modellers and the water quality monitoring experts. Specifically, this role will lead the Gully and Streambank Monitoring project. As a senior member of the Paddock to Reef, Paddock Monitoring team you will conduct plot to sub-catchment scale monitoring trials with a combination of field, laboratory and office-based tasks. As the project leader for the gully and streambank monitoring project you will oversee the conduct of in-field and remotely sensed data collection (LiDAR), spatial modelling, and detailed technical reporting. This work develops 3D models which process handheld and airborne LiDAR captures to determine the total volume of sediment eroded from local gully and streambank erosion sites. The data is used in conjunction with paddock and catchment scale water quality models to understand how soil is eroded from gullies and streambanks, the impacts this has on water quality and how far sediment is transported through the landscape and river systems to the Great Barrier Reef. Your work will support state government policy, inform prioritisation of government funding, and provide input to the Reef Water Quality Report Card. You will be required to provide leadership and specialist technical and scientific advice to state and federal government agencies, regional NRM groups and other science professionals on agricultural land use impacts. As Graphic Designer you will be responsible to support the delivery of Transgrid's brand and marketing strategy, within the Community & Policy function. You will report to the Publications and Graphic Design Manager and be responsible for designing and producing high quality brand and marketing materials, including long form documents and publications. As Graphic Designer you will: Design and prepare Publications and other long form documents for the Brand & Marketing team. Support communications and marketing projects and campaign with high quality designs. Serve on project teams, providing design advice to project leaders. Advise on the effective use of design and brand to achieve project aims. Review all external project related marketing materials to ensure alignment with Transgrid's brand. Prepare and package PowerPoint presentations for external and internal events. Assist the Publications and Graphic Design Manager to implement project plans and partner with other business units on projects. Work with internal stakeholders to establish their creative service's needs. Skills & Experience To be successful in the role you will have: Tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design or Marketing or 3-6 years' equivalent industry experience. Demonstrated high level graphic design and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to liaise, consult, negotiate, and network with stakeholders to develop and execute designs. Demonstrated ability to successfully meet competing deadlines, influence outcomes to accomplish organisational objectives. Demonstrated sound analytical skills to assess the impact of issues and provide relevant input in analysis of business needs. Competent in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of applications, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat. Experience creating animations using Adobe After Effects or similar software, including a strong knowledge of motion graphics techniques, including keyframing, animation, and visual effects. Ability to competently navigate Adobe InDesign and create Style Sheets and use of other style libraries to streamline and strengthen consistent document design. Competent in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Experience with photographic retouching using Adobe Photoshop to a competent level. Ability to work in and navigate Asana or similar Workflow and Project Management software: used for all active and upcoming job tasks within the Brand and Marketing Team.
