Total Remuneration: $103,223 - $167,562 p.a Join a dedicated and highly skilled team Non-accredited role, multiple full time positions The Organisation You will be responsible for managing the care of all patients allocated to the Maternity Department. Under supervision, you will manage outpatient planned and emergency presentations, attend antenatal clinics, and manage acute and elective births in consultation with Midwives, GP Obstetricians and Consultant Obstetricians. You will also attend the IUD insertion clinic and Early Pregnancy Unit weekly for management of miscarriages and termination of pregnancies, including the opportunity to upskill with ultrasound training. As part of your role, you will attend gynaecology operating lists (six per month) and contribute to the management of post operative gynaecology ward patients. You will hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, and be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner. Demonstrating sound knowledge and understanding of contemporary medical practice and procedures appropriate to the level of the position, you will be skilled in problem solving and decision making at both the clinical and the individual level. You will be committed to patient and relative participation in patient care, utilising your skills in professional judgement, clinical competence, negotiation and communication in a multidisciplinary setting. The unit is supported by an anaesthetic, paediatric and neonatology service during business hours with on-call support. It also includes a level 1 nursery with patients requiring a tertiary level support being referred to Rockingham General Hospital or Fiona Stanley Hospital. It provides general surgical, medical, obstetrics and gynaecology, urology, ophthalmology, dentistry, endoscopy, gastroscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy and paediatric services with visiting sub-specialty services including urology, vascular, ENT, paediatric surgery, upper GI surgery and IVF. About the role To provide specialist O&G services based at CGH Sale and outreach services as required. Provide leadership for junior medical staff, midwives and nurses to improve quality of care through participation in continuing education, peer review and CGH clinical governance activities; and to promote seamless operation of the service through engagement via the O&G clinical group. Up to 2.0 FTE, full time and part time roles considered.
