We have two exciting opportunities available with our organisation. The first position involves providing dedicated service at our Bowen Hills hub, while the second role focuses on servicing our regional hub in Townsville. The successful candidate for the latter role has the flexibility to be based in either Townsville or Brisbane, with regular travel expected. In this diverse and expansive role, you will be the face of Business IT, overseeing the comprehensive management of end-user technology. Your responsibilities will span from the administration and configuration to the deployment of client-facing technology and Standard Operating Environment (SOE). In this role you will; • Represent Business IT and associated services, providing autonomous support away from the head office as part of a virtual IT operations team. • Support operational objectives and priorities, including Service Desk support and deployment of new products and equipment. • Proactively create and distribute approved software packages, adhering to ITIL and best practice service delivery frameworks. • Operate IT security technologies to ensure appropriate measures are maintained, including maintaining operating system updates and patching processes. Requirements The position requirements are: Provide support by receiving, logging, resolving and escalating service requests and incidents in a fast and efficient manner following established policies, procedures and standards for Digital Products and Services. Ensure issues are escalated to the relevant Digital Platforms as required; Analyse and resolve requests to maximise resolution at point of call, otherwise allocate requests based on resolver group availability and escalate as appropriate; Provide meaningful, relevant, timely and accurate updates to call logging system including identifying the urgency and impact of request. Adhering to set processes and investigating issues in systems and services and assist with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures; Respond to customer requests within agreed service level timeframes, ensuring customers are kept informed and notified of call resolution and closure. Ensuring customer service is enhanced through provision of a quality support service for Digital function to meet organisational and customer objectives; Build and install hardware and software to Digital standards, ensuring appropriate configuration, connectivity and functionality; Contribute to the development, creation and maintenance of Service Desk and Desktop Support improvements, processes, procedures and documentation, training materials and creation of Knowledge Base (KB) articles; Provide coaching and mentoring to other team members with the adaptation of new and / or changed processes, training and knowledge sharing; Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement of the Desktop Support, Service Desk function and Digital Platforms focusing on high-quality end user services; Monitor analyse and report on data from enterprise monitoring tools to support operations within Platforms and Services; Collaborate effectively managing information and confidentiality requirements across the organisation in accordance with applicable ring-fencing parameters; Compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, procedures and practices; and May be required to participate in an after-hours standby roster. Selection Criteria Demonstrated knowledge and experience in resolving problems with PC / Laptops, end-user devices and peripherals, current windows desktop operating systems and common desktop applications such as MS Office, Edge / Chrome and productivity applications; Understanding of IT service management principles and service levels; Demonstrated experience in working in a Desktop Support Function and providing subject matter expertise; Demonstrates high level effective communication, teamwork, stakeholder management and customer service to ensure job requirements are achieved; Proven ability to work as a member of a high-performing, motivated and proactive team to meet agreed targets and objective; Demonstrated understanding and experience in interpreting and applying policies, principles, processes and procedures; Demonstrated experience in establishing or updating work instructions / processes to maintain relevancy, improve data accuracy and facilitate the training of others in the team; Ability to learn new technologies in a rapidly changing environment; Demonstrated experience to work consultatively within and across teams as well as individually to meet objectives; Demonstrated experience in prioritising continuous improvement initiatives logically based on the business priorities to launch and execute new initiatives around service fulfillment, problem management and incident management for Platforms and end user digital service; and Is customer centric and future orientated in analysis, thought and action.
