The practice houses 7 consult rooms, 5 doctors with a mix of part time and full time hours, a large fully stocked treatment room, bulk billing for patients under 5 years of age. Standard fees are set at $98, Pension Card $63, Long consults $180, Pension card $122. Offering 65% of billings and an hourly minimum guarantee is negotiable. The practice uses Best Practice software and offer Allied Health Services with an audiologist, podiatrist, child psychologist, baby / feeding support counsellor, paediatrician, visiting neurologist available. As a Consultant Paediatrician, you will provide Community Paediatric Services to general paediatric patients of the hospital and region. You will conduct outpatient clinics, ward rounds and patient reviews for the ongoing management of all patients under your care. You will deliver appropriate care and services, support, and facilitate a culture of evidence-based best practice. You will support the development of Paediatric services and capitalise on opportunities to collaborate and coordinate services by responding to the needs of the community. Salary package up to $430,000 plus other benefits The Hospital: The 143-bed hospital has a 24/7 emergency department with access to on-call anaesthetics; medical, and surgical consultants. In conjunction with Charles Sturt University’s School of Rural Medicine, the hospital established a clinical school in 2022. A new $65.7 million emergency department is now under construction and is expected to be completed by early 2025. The new project will double the treatment spaces.
