Act as the first point of contact on behalf of the Legal team, and triage accordingly. The ideal candidate for this role is; (i). A law student currently undertaking their degree, or; (ii). Extensive experience working as a senior Legal Secretary or Paralegal for an in-house Legal team, or within a Legal firm. The minimum qualifications and experience for this role are: NSW Law Society Legal Secretary training (equivalent experience will be considered) or 10 years working as a Legal Secretary or Paralegal in a private law firm. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work from a customer (both internal and external) perspective to ensure customer satisfaction, by adoption a solutions focused mindset. Assertive, tenacious and resilient approach with a 'can do' attitude. Must be eligible to work in Australia (Australian Citizen or appropriate Visa holder). Work assignments will include exposure to contract review and negotiation; project work with lawyers on the Legal Operations and Technology team; and assignments relating to some or all of the following areas: commercial disputes, litigation, intellectual property, international trade, compliance and general corporate legal matters.
