About the role Destec is currently seeking a hardworking and experienced Purchasing / Procurement Officer to assist in the purchasing department based from our Canning Vale premises. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the right candidate will have a high attention to detail, and comfortable with data entry. Based in Perth, the role will support our innovative crushing systems operating in the Pilbara. The Purchasing / Procurement Officer will ensure that all procurement activities are undertaken in accordance with company policy and procedures. This position will also require that they work closely with the site team, end users, suppliers and stakeholders with regard to all procurement, purchasing, expediting and discrepancies. Key Responsibilities: Assist in sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services as directed by the Procurement Manager Liaise with Managers and Supervisors on goods and services required for the day-to-day operation of the business and to ensure the timely transport and receipt of materials, tools and consumables.
