The Finance Manager will provide strategic advice and managerial oversight for the following functions; strategic financial management; financial analysis and risk management; budgeting and cost control; financial and management reporting; quality improvement; and compliance and financial reporting requirements. About You As an ideal candidate, you hold a CPA or CA certification with over 5 years of post-qualification expertise as a Finance Manager or Senior Financial/Management Accountant. Your background includes strategic financial management, compliance with accounting standards, and oversight of not-for-profit reporting requirements. You've effectively led small teams, demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication, and managed various financial aspects including FBT, GST, Payroll, and Income Tax. In addition, you would also be able to demonstrate your competence in the use of Sage or similar accounting software. The position involves working within a multicultural organisation where the majority of workplace participants, clients and stakeholders identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. Candidates must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Please note: In addition to the above skills and experience, the successful candidate will require an unrestricted WA “C” Class Driver’s Licence, and be required to submit a National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months) prior to appointment. About the role The Finance Manager role will initially be a 6-month contract role with an opportunity for permanency and/or extension. Reporting into the CFO, this position will be responsible in managing a small team of accountants, AP and AR.
