Apply data science approaches to design products that optimise factory operations Use machine learning techniques, visualizations, & statistical analysis to gain insight into manufacturing data sets – some readily available, and some you create and curate yourself Lead Smart Factory data science projects in collaboration with other team members (including with offshore talent partners) to ensure rapid development of quality, scalable and sustainable analytics solutions, with global best practices and consistency Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure we focus on pet-centric product and service recommendations Develop compelling stories that provide insight into the drivers of manufacturing performance Ensure outstanding delivery of manufacturing insight, analytics and data science for Pet Nutrition ANZ Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or other numerate discipline Nice to have – Masters / Degree with some computing, scientific, statistical or mathematical component 3 years varied technical experience in delivering statistical analytics, data science and insight on large-scale data sets across multiple sectors, including packaged goods and retail, Ideally In Supply Chain or Manufacturing Hands-on experience with Python (numpy, pandas, etc) is required; Familiarity with PySpark is also desirable Excellent communication skills, and interact effectively with internal stakeholders Familiarity with cloud-based computing services e.g. Azure, Databricks, etc. (Desirable) What can you expect from Mars?
