Lead Mechanical Designer - Minerals & Metals » Perth, Perth Region - $description RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to the Functional Mechanical Manager this role will see you join a large project team, working on upcoming studies and leading to a nominated EPCM delivery within the battery metal space. This project will see you join a collaborative team of professionals contributing to engineering excellence by providing the link between engineering design theory and practical application, translating critical design concepts into workable plans for tangible end-products In this role your duties will see you involved but not limited to; - Detailed layout, design and production of drawings encompassing all aspects of a plant construction package in accordance with relevant standards and project requirements - Inter-discipline liaison, support and timely transfer of information - Creating models (in both 2D and 3D) and technical drawings of mechanical wet and dry plant layouts - Taking concepts through to completion - Turning initial sketches into detailed and complete design models and drawings - Ensuring designs are produced in accordance with client, discipline, statutory regulations, good practice and procedural requirements - Liaison, support and timely transfer of information to other disciplines - Acting as checker for other designers as required QUALIFICATIONS About You We are looking for those who have had experience within thew resources sector, ideally within mineral processing. In this role you will join the function team supporting varied FEED packages, progressing to a project specific role in the coming months. You will be an integral role in our team, bringing your knowledge insight and passion for delivering quality and efficiency four our client's developments. Our team in Perth have successfully been awarded several engineering scopes, ranging from ESC for an international minor capital works program to detailed engineering and EPCM scopes of greenfield developments in the critical minerals and metals space locally and internationally. This role will see you join a project team for one of Europe largest and most sustainable Greenfields battery metal processing facilities, early works are commencing now as we head into EPCM in September 2024. This project has been identified as a significant steppingstone for Europe's establishment of intergraded value chain the batter metal production space. A complex and technically advanced processing methodology this project will provide opportunity to broaden both your skills technically and professionally as you engage with varied international parties.
