About the role Currently seeking an experienced and passionate Staff Health Nurse to join the Calvary team. This role will be responsible for Home Care and Residential Aged Care across Calvary national portfolio. Your main duties will include: Implement, manage, improve and review an Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Service across the Calvary Home Care and Calvary Aged Care Services. Advise, promote, and maintain the principles which underpin best and evidenced based practice in relation to Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination in line with the current Australian Immunisation Handbook and the Calvary Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Policy. Review, develop and evaluate the Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Policies and Procedures, and the Occupational Exposure (to blood or body fluid) Management Procedure, against best available evidence or research to achieve clinically and strategically focused outcomes. Monitor, evaluate and report on the compliance and the implementation of the above across the Services. Progress and follow-up all Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) and PRODA access requests and issues. Coordinate and oversee the annual Influenza vaccination program roll-out. Administer the loading of Respirator Fit Testing data onto the Calvary Staff Health Database (once the specific module becomes available) where appropriate. Play a lead role in the management of the Staff Health Database, including provision of administrative and technical system support, training of new users and vendor liaison. Participate in continuous improvement by supporting staff health related projects and initiatives. About you Relevant clinical background (such as working as a Nurse Immuniser or Staff Health Nurse) Proven organisational skills and attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to prioritise own workload and to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
