This role will support all levels of English so your ability to teach senior English will be highly regarded. There is also an opportunity to build this to a full-time load by undertaking relief staff hours to support planned and unplanned vacancies or other school project roles as required. WHAT YOU WILL BRING To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience developing and delivering comprehensive English academic program, and Be passionate about teaching and enriching the learning experience of students. Have demonstrated experience in teaching Senior and Middle School English within the Australian curriculum. The ability to teach Humanities will also be highly regarded. Differentiate the curriculum by employing a variety of instructional techniques and strategies aligned with instructional objectives, to meet the needs of all students. Experience monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on student progress within the curriculum area, using data analysis to inform classroom strategies for student development and improvement. The ability to develop confidence and self-esteem in students and to act as a role model in presentation, action, and communication. Strong interpersonal skills, with highly developed organisational, communication and administrative skills. Ability to participation in grounds’ supervision on a regular rostered basis. Eligibility to work in Australia with relevant teaching qualifications and current registration, or eligibility for registration, with the Queensland College of Teachers being highly regarded.
