The Mental Health Division also has several state-wide services that include the State Aboriginal Mental Health Service (SAMHS), Mobile Community Outreach Team (MCOT) and Mental Health Emergency Response Line (MHERL). The Armadale Health Service (AHS) is a secondary service hospital with an Emergency Department, mental health inpatient, hospital-in-the-home type service and comprehensive mental health consultation and peri-natal liaison to the general, maternity, and surgical wards. The hospital is a part of Armadale Kalamunda Group. The AHS Mental Health Services provides inpatient, hospital-in-the-home type service and community services for adults and older adults predominantly from the Armadale, Gosnells and Serpentine- Jarrahdale local government areas. The AHS Mental Health inpatient services have 33 adult inpatient beds, a high dependency unit and 8 older adult beds. A 9-bed Mental Health Emergency Centre is in development to commission in 2025.
