Occupational Therapist » Australia - Job Description As a growing company, we are continuing to add more clinicians to our multidisciplinary team providing supports to NDIS participants living in the south west Sydney region. We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who wants to work for a company where professional development and career progression is a reality. We empower participants by: Using a strengths-based approach to guide our assessment, goals and ultimately our intervention We use a combination of standardised and non-standardised assessments, curated to the participants' needs to guide our clinical reasoning Exploring and navigating complex cases, engaging in 1:1 supervision as well as team and national based in-services are just some of the ways you can expect to be supported Responsibilities will include: Managing an allocated caseload and complete therapeutic services in a timely manner Assessing participants emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental and physical level of function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments Interpreting findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant Provide therapeutic interventions that are evidence-based and help participants get more out of life Providing support and advice on adaptations to the environment including home, school, work and residential facilities Recommending provision of Assistive Technology to assist participants with their functional limitations and to promote independence What's in it for you? About The Team The Kingswood team is made up of Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists and a Receptionist, supported by a client engagement team that allow the therapists to focus on the incredible intervention they provide each day. Kingswood has a high number of paediatric clients with 50% of clients aged 0-6 and 25% aged 7-14. Each caseload is varied and ranges in complexity. It can include goal direct intervention, equipment and AT prescription, delivery and review, as well as community liaison and connection. Kingswood is a highly innovative, experienced, supportive, and social team who provides intervention in our numerous therapy rooms, as well as operating an organisation funded baby clinic to support children under 2 at risk of Cerebral Palsy. The team are supported to develop, facilitate and engage in intensives, groups, and programs that support client and therapist interest and need. The team are incredibly experienced in their disciplines and are continually finding ways to develop and to best meet the needs of the clients and region. Each therapist is supported by a clinical educator and manager and have an opportunity to explore a caseload filled with their interests and passions to further develop their knowledge, practice and career.
