You will be conveniently based in Melbourne CBD (Elizabeth Street) close to all forms of public transport. Working within a group practice, you will work directly for one surgeon but also assist your fellow colleagues in times of heavier demand. The role calls upon a person who is self-motivated and has excellent interpersonal and computer competency together with fast and accurate medical typing. The ability to work within a team environment while exhibiting your talent to multi-task will be essential to your success in this role. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: General telephone enquiries Schedule patient consult appointments Smooth management of patient consultation sessions File preparation for consulting and surgical lists Account billing and receipting Medical Audiotyping Theatre/hospital bookings. Prepare quotes for patients Ensure the delivery and standard of the organisation's processes and procedures are maintained at a high level Liaise with government entities, Medicare, Work Cover, Veterans Affairs, and Private Health Insurance funds, as well as Public and Private Hospitals. Regular management of all outstanding debts Attend team and practice meetings as required Comply with Company OH&S, quality and environment policies and requirements Use of VIP medical software This is an ideal opportunity for an individual who enjoys working within a team and is passionate about delivering superior patient care. The vacancy on offer is full-time (4 or 5 days per week), working between the hours of 7.30 am to 5.30pm. Salary will be negotiated dependant on experience.
