Position Summary: Join a high functioning data team as a Financial Data Analyst, where you'll assist in economic and financial research and analysis to support the development of new products, business strategies, and tactics. You will be reporting directly to the senior financial data analyst. Key Responsibilities: Assist in preparing reports and building complex data models. Devise new data collection and analysis processes. Work with key stakeholders to prioritise information needs. Analyse results and report findings to the business. Identify and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. Develop strategies to optimise the quality of statistical results. Maintain databases and research background materials. Quantify the financial impact of opportunities or issues, including return on investments and payback periods. Assist in the development of long-range financial forecasts and budgets. Commercial Accountabilities: Manage resources cost-efficiently. Ensure revenue and expenditure align with agreed budgets. Governance Accountabilities: Compliance with legislative requirements, company policies, and procedures. Maintain confidentiality requirements. About you: A Bachelor’s degree in data science, business, commerce, or a related field. Recent graduates with 1-2 years of experience will be considered. Required competencies include proficiency in Power BI and advanced Excel skills , along with a high level of accuracy, numerical ability, and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication abilities, are essential. Preferred competencies include demonstrated experience in building data/financial models and process improvement.
