The Role: Due to the nature of their weekend day-trade, this role requires the Restaurant Manager to work on Saturdays and Sundays with 2 consecutive days off during the week. We are in search of an accomplished Restaurant Manager to lead our client’s dedicated F&B team at one of their restaurants. With an upcoming major refurbishment slated for early 2024, this presents a thrilling opportunity for an individual to leave their mark and actively contribute to the relaunch of the venue. As the Restaurant Manager, your role will involve overseeing the restaurant’s operations and guiding the team to deliver exceptional service to the guests. Success in this position centres on outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively. Additionally, maintaining a commitment to a high standard of quality, aligning with our client’s business expectations, is paramount. More specifically, the responsibilities cover the following key accountabilities: Drive profitability, collaborating with the leadership team to explore revenue avenues, ensuring cost control, managing rosters, and ensuring compliance with liquor, food, and WH&S regulations. Manage a team of 20 FOH team members. Lead shifts, providing support, and offering training and mentorship to elevate the food and beverage team for exceptional service experiences. Be strategic in your service delivery and always aim to raise the standards. Take care of menu promotions in collaboration with the Head Chef. Bring in new talents, get everyone settled in, and ensure the team is always growing and learning. Keep track of sales, inventory and stock management (Bepoz). Be the friendly face that handles any concerns the guests may have. This is a permanent, full-time position requiring flexibility across a 7-day roster (2 consecutive days off), working on weekends. nights, and public holidays.
