Finance Officer » Brisbane, Brisbane Region - Finance Officer 6 month contract Brisbane CBD location As the Finance Officer, your key responsibilities will include: Coordinate debt management activities, including reconciling the accounts receivable general ledger using the student database system. Manage the collection process by sending reminder notices for outstanding payments, monitoring overdue accounts, and following up with customers. Assist in preparing write-offs and payment plan briefing papers. Coordinate key financial activities such as agent commission arrangements and purchasing and asset management activities as required. Manage and monitor payment processes, resolving issues, identifying improvements and implementing changes. Ensure the integrity of Department’s general ledger and reporting by completing necessary reconciliations, raising journal entries and working papers and implementing appropriate policies, systems, procedures and practices. Manage the input of financial data into the department’s financial management system (SAP). Provide quality financial advice to the Finance Manager, other Department business unit managers, and senior officers of the department in a timely manner, in accordance with relevant legislation and internal guidelines. Assist with the implementation of financial and debt management policy as it relates to the EQI corporate services function. Supervise staff to cooperatively deliver team and business unit priorities adhering to policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct and ethical behaviour. Provide assistance to other Department business units to ensure the achievement of the broader goals and objectives of the branch as required. Proficiency in MS Excel and a basic understanding of Power BI are desirable. A willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies is essential. Purchasing Officer » Greenfield Park, Fairfield Area - We are looking for a Purchasing Officer to purchase products that are essential for our Club’s day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that Purchase Orders are raised and approved, goods and services are received, and orders are receipted in a complete, accurate and timely manner. You will review prices and quality and ensure optimal stock levels. Purchasing Officer responsibilities include evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts, and preparing reports (e.g. on orders and costs.) For this role, you should have good knowledge of market research, along with solid analytical skills to make sure you’re identifying the most profitable offers. Ultimately, you’ll create and maintain good relationships with key suppliers to ensure merchandise is high quality and delivered on time. Responsibilities • Research potential vendors • Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers • Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing • Track orders and ensure timely delivery • Review quality of purchased products • Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases • Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices • Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses • Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage • Ensure all stocked is dated and labelled accordingly upon delivery • Ensure all stock is rotated using the FIFO method. • Stay up to date with industry trends Requirements • Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent, or similar role • Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors) • Hands-on experience with purchasing software • Understanding of supply chain procedures • Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses • Negotiation skills Qualifications / experience required: • Bachelor degree preferably Business Administration, Accountancy or Finance. • 1 – 2 years experience in a Purchasing role, including data entry. • Thu, 30 MayCLUB MARCONI
